View Full Version : ocean scale-wake???

02-24-2008, 08:25 AM

i am trouble creating wake in the ocean, Maybe it's the scale issue.
The ocean is very big, after putting the wake emitter, i can't see no wake, If i boost up the density value, they look very sharp and edgy.
How could I solve this?

hi ,

You have to check if your ocean and wake ,are at 0 in Y...
Because it could create some issues...
And instead of scale your wake texture , it better to increase the size in the AE of the texture wake .
Hope it helps !

No excatly in this case , but i know that the Y axis is very important for the oceanshader. And the same as the wake , it s important that it is well placed on the ocean shader...

And like every fluid , it better to don't scale the texture wake , it change your simulation and it become unstable.

I have also had this problem before, but in my case it was just a corrupt scene. When I recreated the same scene with the same settings it worked fine. I hope this is not your problem but you might want to check just in case.:)
