Here's a little function that will allow you to have an object 'trail' after the target object. Essentially following it's world motion path, but with a time delay.

The plugin is called Trail and can be found right under the autorigger here:

What does it do, or how does it work, that makes it different from FollowFrame?

The difference between trail and follow frame is that trail follows the world motion regardless of hirearchy, rather than the motion path. So they don't have to be parented to the same thing.

Ulven thanks for the plugin. It can also be extremely helpful if we can also have a version that applies to hierarchy. Lets say that every object under trailing object hierarchy will use the same rule as the parent with proportional delay. if you have it set to 2 frames, 3rd child will have 6 frame delay etc.
