ooooo ahhhhh. . .

That's really nice! I love the fact that you took it to a different place than the rest of the female models on the forum. I really did the simple 'at home' feel and the nice texturing. Great job!

Wow, she is really very nice..I like the model and deformations a lot, great hands.

The sweater and jeans are also severely awesome.

Only things that kinda bother me are her skin seems a bit even and matte, or like the light isn't effecting it completely, something.. and her eyes, seem very painted/flat. They look a lot more natural in the third standing pic. Otherwise I think she rocks. Would dig seeing more.

05 May 2003, 11:03 AM
that's so cool !!! excellant work, i really like the textures of the clothes

05 May 2003, 11:04 AM

Great hands? I love the model, the feel and also the clothes (great job, very realistic), but if I should make some crits it would be the hands. Especially the first picture, her finger seems too long or something... dunno, just doesn't feel right.

05 May 2003, 01:42 PM
One thing that strikes me is that the deformations are prefect, no pinching, no streching, they look great!

Something's odd around the eye's in the first picture that dosn't seem to be nearly as noticable on the 2nd and 3rd. Very good work overall!

05 May 2003, 01:52 PM
You've really brought this character to life. Just these three images successfully relay alot about who she is and draw your audience in.

Again, I agree about the hands seeming a bit too slender and long, and also the eyes in the first image seem odd somehow. Otherwise, excellent work. Simply outstanding use of materials.

It's so great to see when people actually give their models personalities.

You did a great job on that!

05 May 2003, 02:16 PM
She is amazing!
I especially like her clothing! Perhaps the most realistic cloth I have ever seen here on CGTalk!
I would love to see her animated!

Only one very small criticism, some of her environment seem a bit rushed (textures could be better), but it still serves it's purpose of giving her a homely feel.

Astounding work!:applause:

05 May 2003, 02:23 PM

Great work! I especialy dig the clothes...

05 May 2003, 02:30 PM
Girl on next door:) I'm in love:applause:

Dr. Bang
05 May 2003, 02:40 PM
can you put a scene of her in the kitchen cooking wearing only her thong plz? thnx

05 May 2003, 02:41 PM
despite a rather classic modelling (but accurate) and some oddities (I agree with the too-long-finger argument.. especially for the pinky; and the breasts look too pointy), your images are very cool, and original; the environment+posing really gives much personality to your character and that's what makes your creation remarkable. Thumbs up

..and excellent texturing by the way, especially on the clothes, as others said.

05 May 2003, 02:45 PM
Now that is some awesome work. I especially love the jeans. Great job.

05 May 2003, 02:56 PM
hey man...........i just have to pull up my jaw again man!!! it's awesome, great n gorgeous!!!!

but i think for the 3rd image, the left arm of the character seem little weird ( my opinion  )

why dun u share more about the secret behind it man...

05 May 2003, 02:57 PM
girl looks good. actually she looks very good  but what's that she's got in the bag below? dinosaur droppings? :D i think your bread needs a bit more tweaking texture wise.

EDIT: what are those photographs in the back? more renders? is it possible to see those too?

:surprised -ill

05 May 2003, 02:59 PM
That's some really really nice work!

Those socks are brutal!

05 May 2003, 03:37 PM
Have to agree with all the above. Great image and setting. Lush texturing, great poses. The hands look a little "rubbery"...

05 May 2003, 03:44 PM
very good work, especially the full-length image

05 May 2003, 03:47 PM
looks great.

i'd love to know how you textured the sweater and jeans. also, how did you accomplish the deforming on the sweater and jeans. are they actual 'cloth' simulations, or is it a workaround?

05 May 2003, 03:56 PM
Wow Great Texture... and nice cloths!!.. good work!..
 :buttrock:

05 May 2003, 04:01 PM
Nice work....really like the texturing on the clothes...really sells the character.....and the proportions are just about perfect....something has to be said for a handfull in stead of a truckload of about time someone did a girl next door...excellent work.

05 May 2003, 04:16 PM
that is the best jeans texture and model I've ever seen!!!

GREAT job! The Cloth is very CLoth Like! the Textures are Seemless! altho the eyes somthing about it just doset seem right! but its a new style and I like it! Would love to see wires and Question What did you use.. Program and What was used for the Hair! Im still figuring out the best route for Hair!!! and your look Awsome

05 May 2003, 04:43 PM
Excellent stuff!! I aggree with the rest, it's great to see an everyday girl instead of a bombshell now and again. The clothes look really good. The only two things I can fault are the lighting of the scenes could need a bit more focus and the paper bag doesn't really convince. But overall really nice stuff!

05 May 2003, 05:09 PM
First of all, FANTASTIC WORK!! Absolutely amazing.

Just wanna point something out. I don't know if you guys noticed it or not... Look at the first pic again, and check out her right hand (the hand that has a finger balancing a cherry on her nose).

Then check out on the underside of that palm: does it look a bit fat to you?

maybe just my imagination. But really really fantastic work!

05 May 2003, 05:09 PM
AssA!!! Ii-Po-daaa!!!

I'm pretty impressed by this. Not just because the model is a tasteful model of a female. (I am so sick of all the chain-mail bikini clad sword-fems that horny animators churn out faster than Disney can spit out OAV sequals no one wants to see)...

But because the mannerisms and posing are done so well. I could tell from the image on the front page, that the girl in these pictures was Korean. Laugh all you want, but I'm serious. There's something about her bone structure, her facial expression etc, that just communicated to me instantly that the girl was Korean.

So I wasn't suprised to find out the submitter was a Korean artist.

By the way whoever criticised the hands, I couldn't disagree with you more.

05 May 2003, 05:10 PM
Only crit are the eyes, they look painted on.

05 May 2003, 05:13 PM
Hey she's realy cute.

05 May 2003, 05:20 PM
Nice work, as everyone has said.

I agree about the hands and eyes.

The end joint on the finger holding the tomato looks too short.

The eyelids look a little flat. You can barely see the crease above the eyelashes.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the very cool animations on the artist's web site. That and the elf on the home page reminds of Deedlit from Lodoss War.

05 May 2003, 05:22 PM
That looks really sweet.

Maybe fix up the paper bag.

05 May 2003, 05:52 PM
One thing, how the heck does this cherry stays on the edge of the glass? :D

Sorry, don't mind me :annoyed:

Maybe the artist also sick of making " bikini clad sword-fems" over the years too, check out his site;

BTW, very good model, a little weak on lighting, otherwise very cool.

Chae rim? Yes? No? Looks like her.

05 May 2003, 06:19 PM
damn, that's pretty savage .... though i think her skin could use some work. It's a bit too clean w/ that plastic look ... but daaaaaaaaaammmmnnnn.... the texturing on the clothes 0wn3z..... :buttrock:

05 May 2003, 06:20 PM
The texturing Rocks, i also like the simplicity of the poses.

looks really refreshing.

Did i mention that the textures were really good ?

05 May 2003, 06:29 PM
Love those Blue Jeans. I'm sure the shirt was a pain to surface. Great Job!

05 May 2003, 06:38 PM
she must be in a bread only diet:D

Very nice job!

05 May 2003, 06:46 PM
Hey man nice work!:D

my only crit is that she looks just a lil pale :hmm:

05 May 2003, 06:53 PM
The model and textures are very accurate. My favorite thing about the character is the colorful pattern on the socks. The artist could have simply place a solid color on the socks but went with the pattern instead which to me further imbues the character with depth and personality. I have no crits for the eyes or hands they look fine.

05 May 2003, 08:11 PM
NicE modEL! wouLD liKE to SeE heR animaTioN!

05 May 2003, 10:28 PM
its nice, anime style with big eyes small mouth :)
and the textures are to die for.

05 May 2003, 12:08 AM
Miso likes the bread.

She Liiiiiikes her some bread.

05 May 2003, 12:47 AM
She's very pretty, superb :applause:
The posing is really incredible, it does so much to convey her personality :D

I agree with a comment made about the eyes though, they do look like they are painted on, and it's really noticeable in that first pic, at least to me. Perhaps increasing the size of that particular part of the texture map, and increasing the specular highlights on the eyes would help improve their look.

05 May 2003, 01:25 AM
nice,nice,nice nice

wat software u used for this character....

and r u tryinh to make a Korean Girl..? just asking....

very nice...

05 May 2003, 01:36 AM
outstanding, some textures aren't really nice looking on the walls, but the model, ... stunning man, expressive, cute and, ... well everything, she's all. Nice, 'hope you'll provide a wire.

05 May 2003, 02:05 AM
As a korean, i dont think she`s pretty or beautiful. But she seems to look pretty to western people. She just looks like a mannequin to me. Keep it up though.:buttrock:

05 May 2003, 07:21 AM
i very like it

05 May 2003, 08:14 AM
The testure on her sweater and jeans is awesome, I really like it. I know a guy named Miso, he is from Poland!!

05 May 2003, 11:28 AM
Beautiful work. My crit is the bag. I didn't get a chance to read the whole thread maybe someone has already said something. The paper shoppig bag looks alittle to much like a sack to round paper bags krinkle and fold have a harder deformations. also when hard light hits them they are quite shiny. Keep it up its good to see someone not putting a gun, sword or fantasy element in a photoreal shot of a girl.

05 May 2003, 11:32 AM
Very Nice:) By the way is her last name Horny?

05 May 2003, 11:37 AM
Very good model, wish i could do that.

Crits though: the arms seem short or the thighs are really long
the fingers (most noticeably thumb) are a bit thin for my taste.

But it almost goes unnoticed. Very cool!

Can she smile for us?

05 May 2003, 12:11 PM
Impressive work! Five stars for me, I love it, Congratulations

05 May 2003, 05:16 PM
Its funny to read through the thread and see how many people that dont read what is written underneath the pictures..
some ask if they can see it in wireframes.. Yeah u can.. if u just click the link.. some ask what program u made it in.. well just read the text and u will find out... :D

I think the girl is wery good made.. I like the part that she is almost real looking but still enough cg to make her "made".. (if u understand)

Nice textures all over.. specialy like the last picture where u made her socks too.. like those 3 color home socks..

so allover.. Damn nice work.. :D

05 May 2003, 05:43 PM
Very very cute, love the modeling, deformations, and render. However the door need more attention in the texture area, as it seems to be stretching, and the buns as well as the door need more of a bump map. THe only thing your images lack is imperfections. I see that you tried with her jeans but stopped there :) After all is said and done, it's a great image

Please be sure to enter this into Expose you definitely have a chance

You have received the CGtalk choice award .Please feel free to display this image anywhere you like! Nice work.

hello friend ,

i am rohith maya user i have a problem in nubs.
texturing and applying fur.

if we model in subd and then convert to nurbs the normal that we have goes blizzard. it is divided in patchs, can their be a solution to form a complete mesh.
have a problen in applying procedural textures.

help with a help file if any.

the model that you have is really excelent. so help me to color my models like yours.

reference to my model is from " stuart little 2 " the EAGLE.

Hi rohith.
Sorry too late refly.

I don't know to how can i help you.

I never try covert poly 2 nurbs.
If i were you i'll use the combine commend.
and merge each points.

I don't know. why can't applyed 3D texture to that
mesh. utill see your work data.

I don't like maya fur system. because maya fur is
for while only one light use.
If you add more light, you will have very bad output.

finally... sorry i can't help you
cause my english is very bad ^^

Really good job. I think the texture on the shirt is fantastic. Is that one tomato supposed to be falling out of the glass? doesn't seem right sitting like that. Her mouth/smile looks really well done.
