Hey all I have been meaning to join this forum for a long time but I just haven't got around to it. I'm currently a student at Ai of Sf and I'm pretty close to graduating so I figured this would be a good time to jump in. I watched the last dominance war with great interest and I want to through my hat in this time. I don't have sketches ye but I'm going to be working on it for the rest of the day. I just wanted to get a spot.

I'm thinking human/demon stalker with darkness/void artifact.

I'm going for a human that has spent to much time in the space between worlds and it has begun to change him.

Ok here are a few concept sketches for my void stalker.

I知 thinking about a long slender blade for his artifact, but I知 playing with a few bulkier weapons.

I want him to seem in between bodies as if he is becoming something. So far I知 not really feeling any of my concepts. I知 wondering if I should exaggerate his silhouette a bit more, let me know what you think.

After spending some time thinking about the character I wanted to depict him furthur along his transformation, it seemed a more interesting character.

I'm still working on the artifact. I am trying to really come up with a good reason for the weapon.

Wow Dude, your concept looks cool:cool: For artifact my suggestion is go for some light weapon.

Heres the first run at the 3d model. Found a few designs for the artifact I like, just coloring them before I post them.

So here is my final model before I take it into zbrush. I just made it under the poly limit. Let me know if you see any problems I missed.

Cool dude! The legs from the feet to the backwards kneecap seem too plain, my eye keeps telling me it needs something their. But I知 not sure what. Maybe some bands like you have above the forearm, or maybe another head armor peace dangling from the knee on the side? I dunno, id play with it.
Other that that pretty cool, the face is creepy lol

Haven't posted in a while. Life has got a bit crazy this week. Here is the beginning of my z-sculpt.

I know what you mean about the lower legs. I would put something there but I am already pushing the poly limit.

Thanks for the encouragement. I see that you are still a student, that's impressive. Your sculpting is really good already, nice job. The concept is pretty original too which is half the battle. I may use my remaining polys for effects but to tell you the truth just finishing at this point will be a minor miracle, I don't have finals but between work life and home life there isn't a lot left at the moment. I really take my hat off to you, when I was starting out I was already 29 no young student, used to teach art and didn't even own a computer until I was 29, and my stuff was not a patch on yours. You have an exciting future judging by your work. Enjoy!

Coming down to the wire, here is my textured wip. Not sure about the color scheme. I would really apreciate some feed back.

the red seems to focus a lot around the bottom and left area. I think some up in the top right shoulder(his left shoulder) would help balance it out a bit. Maybe by a slight emmissive map through the indention or straight diffuse? I'm not sure, looking good though.

Just barley got that in on time. wich i had more time for presentation but at least i got it done.
