Hi to everyone! I`m in game.
class: Invoker

02 February 2008, 08:34 PM
Here is the first scetch...start point of the character....

02 February 2008, 09:08 PM
It`s time to decide what kind of weapon I`l forge for him....What do you think about these?

02 February 2008, 04:59 AM
Veles, the beginning promising, but would be desirable to see continuation :)

02 February 2008, 06:33 PM
 interestingly

02 February 2008, 10:04 PM
Thanks :) ....Some variants of gloves...which is better? :banghead: What do you think? C&C are welcome:)

02 February 2008, 01:08 AM
Ok....It`s time for 3D. I started in Z-brush. Here is the first step. Next will be retopology and details.

Vakh:applause:! It is much more interesting than on a sketch. I about a neck if you remember, I to it had some claims.
I am sorry for my English:shrug:: it not I, am "PROMT":)

Hi I like ur work but r u using wind and fire as ur power but its not allowed ,pls read the rules.
Pretty interesting post keep it up

03 March 2008, 09:24 AM
sagishow, thanks a lot.I`l think about kind of magic that artifacts will use...but correct me if I`m wrong. I have read inthe rulls :"Artifacts must possess one of these following magical energy types (no combinations, example, no Fire/lava + Vegetation):Fire/lava, Water/Ice, Air/Lightning, Earth/Rock, Vegetation, Darkness/void, Light/Holy, Summoning."
And so...Fire Glove = Fire/lava , Wind Glove = Air/Lightning, Death Glove = Darkness/void.
I have made three variants of artifacts just to have a possibility to choose one of tham...How do you think what variant better?

03 March 2008, 07:28 PM
Sorry for long silence....but it was realy much to do, and no free time at all :( But now it`s ok, and i hope that updates will be much interresting. Here is new topology. Details are coming soon...

Great start on the sculpting, I think the big eye on the head could be less "open" and the cheek bones could be less saggy imo. But overall, great work so far! Cheers

Fine. Now much better. As a result, the powerful monster has turned out kind, but. It is not similar on кровожадного the murderer, and to me it is pleasant. Really it is pleasant. The rigid character with soft (rather) a look.

Started to sculpt......

03 March 2008, 09:38 AM
Listen, looks cool pal! I like his expression and armor so much, nice modeling for details and etc.

03 March 2008, 09:53 PM
He's taking shape and his armor looks nice but something bothers me about his legs. Just my .02 but I would like to see how he turns out.

I think the same too. the leg armor is.. strange, maybe unnecessary. the leg model is very nice, and this armor its not so usefull...

03 March 2008, 10:31 PM
Nice modelling. I agree that you should be careful with all that armor. Remember your character should be able to move around :)

03 March 2008, 12:15 AM
Thanks for replies:) I think that armor on the right leg (front leg in the battle pose) is more than usefull....and of course hi will be able to move...Here is update of hi poly model...

03 March 2008, 02:51 AM
Holy crap dude, amazing work! Great attention to details. I love the armor. However I do have one little critique, what is the purpose of having one side filled with armor and the other not? I think you could put at least some in there to give it some balance. All the armor one one side weighing on him could make him limp, you know what I mean?

03 March 2008, 04:53 AM
Sweet looking model man, keep it up

03 March 2008, 06:29 AM
Thanks for the comments!:) and what about the armor...I have took for the reference gladiators of the ancient Rome. They had no much defence as usual. And one of the examples of those armor had defence only on the right side of the worrior . Here is one of the examples:
In this case armor on the right side tooks role of the weapon and the shield at the same time. And to make character look more balanсed I have added the horn on the left shoulder and I`l give him an artifact scythe in the left hand...

03 March 2008, 06:06 PM
Wooow!
It's really cool!!!
I think, this is natural "Modern art", this combination of classic school and the modern graphic technologies.
Good luck, brother!

03 March 2008, 08:21 AM

I dont understand so well that workflow.. but the model look pretty nice. How do you do? You do first the hipoly model and now the low?

04 April 2008, 10:23 PM
Yes,you are right....At first I have made hipoly with nice only quads topology to have good smoothing results with out any artifacts. Than I have sculpted it. And at last I have made low poly. Now all UVs are ready and I`m testing normal maps. Updates are coming soon! :wip:

so.. where you get the normal map? Zbrush? or with a projection in another soft like 3dstudio? Can Zbursh use projection to generate normal maps? (I have some questions haha, I dont know so much about zbrush)

Althoug the lowpoly is very clean.. looks good!

04 April 2008, 05:23 PM
Oh, very nice. Interesting character, the head is just lovely. But I must say that the skulls dont really fit into the design. Cant wait to see the finished one:)
