View Full Version : DWIII - 3D - Rion411 - Dark Clericon

What the hell, decided to give it a go. This will definitely be learning experience for me and something exciting and motivating to make me actually finish something. I came up with the idea of a dark priestess type of chick and here is the initial concept:

Name: Eeriya
Race: Undead
Class: Clericon
Artifact: Darkness/Void - Skull & Horn Staff

Some ideas for the staff:

Just another noob's opinion but hope you don't mind:

Personally I like the 2nd and 3rd staff, they look more darkness/void to me and are supplied with some more interesting sculptures.

The 1st one looks kind of a spear to me. Though I think it may work with some directional or shooting magics, my first impression is still that of a spear. Maybe more indication of some magical nature may work.

As for the character herself, maybe you can introduce more interesting features to give her a more original look. Right now I'm attracted to the spikes, it gives a contrast with the flowing body. Maybe you can push this point more :)

I joined DWIII for the learning experience too, hope both of us can do well and finish this thing

XP-58 - Thanks for the input, I think you're right about the 2nd and 3rd being more of the darkness/void feel. I'm gonna work on the character concept more and try to give some more interest/variation.

Nice concept. I like what you got going here. The staffs strike me as being very bulky though...maybe longer staffs with smaller heads? Might work better as I see the lady as being pretty elegant, despite her dark and dreadful powers. ;)

BluntPencil - You're right about the staffs, I changed it up a bit.

Fleshed out the concept:

Finally some modeling, trying to get the base done...

Good start and cool staff.

You might be able to 'sexify' her figure more by aiming for more heroic proportions (seven or eight heads high). But if you want something more realistic you're heading in the right direction.

Thanks marsyas, yeah I'm going for more realistic proportions but I'll definitely try to "sexify" her. Probably be a little while until I can work on her more because I'll be out of town all week.
