Here we go:
Artifact Weapon: Heavy Bronze Cog - Vegetation
Description: Although there would not be much vegetation in a post-apocalyptic future, I imagine what remains has done so because it was a pretty tough, possibly mutated strain of undergrowth that can now be magically controlled. Gilam would be considered a shaman by most, but instead of choosing animal skins for clothing, most of his upper body is covered with thick mangled tree roots. Forever burdened by the gigantic metal cog that has become a part of him he has learned to survive by manipulating the diseased vegetative undergrowth for his own bidding.

I'm hoping to work out the forms, and costume details more.
Here are some quick sketches from this afternoon. The top of the helm is going to be an animal skull with the rest of the head is a bunch of layered metal plates. His gauntlets are going to be magically imbued with several powerstones that he utilizes to control the vegetation.

reworked the concept a bit...want him to have more of a nature/shaman look, he's got vines running around his body, still controlled by the artifacted gauntlets he wears. He has a cat skull that creates the visor for his protection...

torn between concepts, i've made him bulkier and hunched over to add to the burden of carrying the gear on his back

I think I would go with the smaller guy with a nice firm stance with the cog on his back. this guy looking overburdened by this cog doesnt come across as a very effective warrior. I say develope the smaller guy....just my input.:thumbsup:
