wow, that is amazing.

i know its early, but i think if you start putting some little details like equipment, and maybe some embroidery on his cloak, that will just totally set this character off, its looking really amazing already

today got some freetime and start to work in the basemesh, still have a lot of proportions and designs to fix but its a start!

hey rafael!

-great start on your model. really like the idea/concept aswell.
one small crit... -i think you should beef up his brachioradialus muscle a bit. his lower arm looks a bit weak compared to the upper. not sure if that's intended, though.

i dont have so much freetime to work in the model but today i got some time to work in the armor because im quite not satisfied with it. And the cgsociety logo dont help me.

Now im getting more close of what i want.

This weekend ill work more in the model!

Tonight after work i started painting the head of the model.
It took me about 3 hours in photoshop, im using zapplink and paiting in zbrush.

Its just a start, im still finding the righ colors of the model.

Looking sweet! But one comment is, it looks like he went somewhat chubby in the face with the new textures. It kind of loses the feeling it had from the sculpt.

I agree with what everyone has said--I've sort of lost that feel from the sculpt. The new textures imo also make him seem older, but I can't wait to see more. Keep it up!

I also agree. Couple things, one, we never really saw a good close up of his face until now. So I think everyone had this vision in their head of what his face would look like. The only real portrait we have is from the concept.
Also, the completely red eyes really through it off and also seem large. It could just be the color of them making them seem larger, but his lower eye lid looks poofy and saggy. I would give him regular eyes and examine his eye lid. You can always make the eyes glowing or adjust them in postpro, then post different versions you've tried.

First I have to say that this is shaping up to be incredible. I love the feel of his stance and the hood gives that really shady impact that a stalker should have. This is one of my faves in this war so far. Excellent- simply inspiring.

That said, tho it might be out of place for a noob like me to critique such excellent work...

But I have to agree that his mouth may be a *tad* wide- but not so much to be unacceptable. Some folks just have big mouths. Also, the insertion point of the sternomastoid muscle near and above the clavicular head seems a little muddled. Either it's coming together too early or it's a bit fat, not sure about that. But that's really REALLY nitpicky.

Awesome stuff, though. Really. Dig that bad-ass armor.

fantastic character and great to see you develop him. Only crit as others have said is i think the face texture seems to be a bit to far removed from the kind of serious, coolness that you had on the face model itself. Still looks fantastic though :P (got him as my background right now)

any chance for a tutorial or somthing when you're done with this guy? Would be sweet to hear how you actually went about this character, workflow and all that.

the top of the hood seems a bit too high. maybe lower it a bit so that the edge its just above his eyes. Would give him a more menacing look I think. Otherwise, some yellow in the tip of the fingers I think, for a hot look.

a glow would work perfectly in the hands!

I really don't think so...fingers are beautiful shapes and very delicate not to be distorted with weird glows. Self illumination is enough IMO.

I have to desagree here, the character looks perfect the way it is, it´s balanced, with good weight and a clean look, it´s easy to make tons of armor and make it looks interesting, but make something atractive with a clean look and few details is an art.

Damn, both are great, personally I prefer purple tones, it´s more appealing and the character looks more evil and cold, but it is too "blizzard style", with the red one you were going to a unique look....
But I guess i prefer the purple...maybe a bit less purple in the hands

This piece is looking strong. Nice placement of the the team insignia. My 2 cents at this juncture, is to watch the stength of your deformations. The wrinkles on your hood for instance could get lost on your dark hood so you might want to push it a little bit more. Maybe consider using rim lighting in your final render to accent those fine details against the dark figure.

I just figured out who he reminds me of, Peter Greene, from The Mask. But when he has the mask on, couldn't find any images on the web of him with the mask on. But I think most people know what I'm talking about.

That being said, this character is pretty sweet. I love the dark feel he has. Great work, keep it up :thumbsup: I just can't stop thinking about his face looking like the mask.

looking pretty gothic. Cool clothes, hands and lower arms do feel a bit understrength. Like the muted colour and high contrast, should let the magic artefact stand out well.

this is going pretty good :thumbsup: you might need to bump up the sharpness on the final texture. i also like the purple more than red.

Guy! Excelente job!But I can a litle confuse, do you texturing the highpoly model and after you start the Lowpoly model, is it right? You texturing the Highploy model to Render to Texture for Lowpoly model after? I'm surprise because I often texturing direct my Lowpoly models!
