View Full Version : viewing Painter PSD icons in WXP

is there a way to make windows explorer or similar application, able to see Painter made PSD layered image icon/thumbnail?
Currently I can only see Photoshop cs2 image icons/tn and that due the registry hack for cs+ versions.

Two ways I know to see a PSD file saved from Painter as a thumbnail are to:

In Painter, use File > Open, highlight the file name and a thumbnail appears on the right side of the Open dialog.

In Irfanview, use File > Open, highlight the PSD file saved from Painter, and a thumbnail appears in the lower left corner of the Open dialog (this is in Irfanview version 3.95).

There may be other ways I don't know about, but maybe someone else will.
