hi everyone! here is my lowpoly model of Stormsword tank.
c&c a welcome!

its 2x2048 normal maps and ambient occlusion maps with some modifications like decals and shadows
low poly shots from 3ds max:

more wire

its about 13k poly in low poly model and 5M in hipoly=)

normals(with some artifacts but i"ll correct themp):

This looks very nice! Great model and details. I like 40k!

excellent work! Loving both the high and low poly, great normal maps with no errors! ( are they photochopped at all? ) Look forward to the textures! :thumbsup:

it is true that is some mighty fine love and detail in that baby. Now i ve to go play dawn of war ..... why man why !

Looking forward to the textured version. I m now expecting a lot .... no pressure :thumbsup:

Hey man, that is an absolute impressive model. If you don't mind, could you share how you generated the normal maps? It looks as if though you generated them inside of Photoshop, but I see you have a highpoly model. How did you get so perfect projections? Doesn't the normals on the right side be more red and blue on the left? Hmm...

very well executed! I don't know much of Warhammer, but it looks like the turret on that tank isn't the least bit aim-able... Guess the company insisted on that design so you'd have to buy 29 more pewter tank figurines to get the same field of fire as one tank with rotating/elevating gun..?
But of course that has nothing to do with how awesome a job you did on the model and texture!

Oh man i'm so stupid, i was wondering about useless polygons but i was looking at the highpoly model ;) *knock knock neo* argh! Great thingie, i can't wait for the uv layout! Did you split the uv shells at the rounded borders to get a perfect normal map?
