The question is in the title;)
I want know If illutrator can draw curves following mathematical functions as
y=sin(x) or y=tanē(x/expx)

I don't think you can. Maybe with a special plugin, or if you wrote one yourself. You could probably do it with Flash vectors... maybe. I dunno, just thowing some ideas around.

i usually just graph the sux0r on my graphing calculator (TI83+ Silver Edition) and screen shot it and manipulate it that way ... but it's .... really pixelated... blocky.

Try working with Mathematica 4.2 or something... that will do it.... just find a friend that is a student (if u are not one) to get a student discount to get it.

I wish Windows came with a graphic calculator progrma like the Mac does... =(

And what about scripting? I think illustrator content script abilities. I know melscripting (for maya), so is it possible to build a curve with a script?
A simple loop with the function...
