View Full Version : "Mirror skin weights" on two pieces of geometry?

Is it possible to "Mirror skin weights" on two pieces of geometry?

My character has human arms which are two separate pieces of geometry because the torso is solid metal.

After painting the skin weights on my right arm Ive tried selecting The Right arm, then the Left arm and mirroring over and just does weird things or nothing?
Any ideas, Thanks

It is possible to mirror skin weights across two pieces of geometry. I have no problems with that so far. Maybe you wanna post your scene file so that I can help check it out?

you need to select verteces for right and left side and then mirror the weights

Doh!:rolleyes:.. sorry, ive never used it, didnt know you had to select the vertices,.. i was just selecting the geometry!.. thanks.. it has saved me so much time and hassle

It works fine for me just by selecting geometries too. Hmm either way, glad that it works for you now. :)
