View Full Version : Mudbox Viewport Bug (Help needed)

Can anyone explain this black "kite" originating form the center of my scnene, which showed up suddently, when I was working on a model just now? Is it some kind of common visual bug in the program and does anyone know how to remove the damned thing?

Ah, I just found out that restarting the program rids me of it. Still, I'd like to know what causes these "kites" if anyone should happen to know...

Old Mud version I guess. My version is 1.0. But it's okay. I can live with that :)

all version are 1.0 in the window title bar...
look under the help menue... there you can see the actual version...
last one is 1.07...
you can load here and install with your lic...

I had a similar'ish problem, iirc it turned to be a stray two point polygon in my basemesh, I cleaned it up and all was fine.

I've been into help now and it seems like I've got the actual 1.0 version. But the thing hasn't happened since, so it's fine. Anyhow I've discovered plenty of new, more interesting, questions about baking and how to properly import the normal maps into Maya hehe... Just need a little more time to formulate everything correcty and provide the right screenshots.
So there are more questions to come, but thanks for the answers so far. Much appriciated.
