View Full Version : Script for toggling between Animate and Setup

I wrote this simple script to toggle between setup and animate which is needed alot during rigging.

You can modify this script to toggle between your favorite parts of Messiah. Names in the command (Setup, Render etc) are compatible with Names of the modules in Messiah.

I especially use this to check my bone weights. Because Messiah does not update visual bone weight data in Setup, you need to click to animate tab and come back to setup mode to see the update in setup mode.

int main()
if (IsCurrentMode(Setup))

SetCurrentMode(Animate, 1);

SetCurrentMode(Setup, 1);

return (1);

Copy and paste into a text file and rename the extension to .msa and put this file into your scripts folder under modules.
-Reopen your messiah or press "F7" to recompile your scripts.
-Goto "customize" - " keycommand manager" - "Commands"
-Under Class pulldown select command
-Give a name to your command and put the name of the script without extension as "Command"
-To assign a shortcut select the command you had created and assign a keyboard shortcut from the same panel.
