Mium !!! the only way to improve is to practice !! In front of all those incredible talents, the only solution for me to sky their skills is to post one Paint per day !!!
Sorry for my poor english, I was so bad at school ... (:
So here we start on january the 10th 2008 - thursday, PIC #1 named "the runner"
Hope u ll like it !!

if you post a picture like this every day I have to cry everyday...:) I like this very much!
01-10-2008, 06:27 PM
Posting a picture everyday is an admirable goal. But to actually improve will take more than just cranking something out in order to meet a self imposed deadline. You will need to make your daily paintings a bit more focused on improving specific skills. THAT is "practice." Elsewise, it is just "production."
Best of success to you!

viseone : Tks a lot 4 this comment !! (:
CyberoneGFX : u'r right, it s more production than practice .. But the dead line, to my own, is helping a lot inworking and finishing, it s a kind of .. motivation. (: Didn t want to be rude or pretencious with this, I just wanted to share a personal feeling (:
tks 4 ur comment !

I like this image a lot. I'm not sure I understand where the title comes from: the guy in the foreground isn't doing much running. :)
I like how you've framed the character with the circular structure behind him/her and your terrain is fantastic. My only suggestion is perhaps bringing the grey fog/smoke a little further into the foreground as a thin layer covering the ground.

Greenham : tks 4 this support !! (: - Now u say that, I have to admit that obviously, bringing grey fog to the foreground would have helped a lot the final composition ! Tks !!! (:

here we go with this ugly drawing i ve badly done yesterday night !!
Friday the 11 of january - PIC #2 - endings
01-11-2008, 09:56 AM
Another great image. I love the texture and 'brush work' arround the eyes and mouth. Great blood droplets as well.
I'm not sure about the blue area towards the top left-hand corner of the image. Is that supposed to be part of his hair, in a pony tail, perhaps? It doesn't look connected to the head. Apart from that, it's a shame you didn't finish his clothing off just a bit more. His colar, mainly.
01-12-2008, 08:41 AM
GreenHam : Tks again 4 ur sweet com :) and yes it s its ponytail lol
So, today, saturday the 12th of january, let's share this kitsh PIC#3 named "till the end"
I hate this image, but I had to finish it if I wanted to post an image today ... :/
Tks 4 reading !

Goog luck for your futur work
01-13-2008, 05:46 AM
evika, this is a great start, but you're going to have to give some background information on this one. I'm looking at the image and thinking "what the hell is he/she trying to do?" I like your basic concept: Till The End. I also like your composition.
However, what's with the elongated necks, the ghost-like figure in the background and the red . . . thing? It's impossible to give critque if I don't know what you're aiming at.
01-13-2008, 10:59 AM
Couba : Tks a lot !! i ll do my best :p
Greenham : Well, I tryed to make a paint about racism, if u want, It represents 2 lovers in greace menaced by other people becoz of the fact that the woman is black ! (:
About proportions : I love deforming a little bit the bodies, it a kind of own and proper style of drawing lol. BTW It was more a test about coloring and lightning than a real story telling :p

I'm beginning to quite enjoy this thread. You can certainly produce artwork at a much faster pace than I can.
Another good image. Things I noticed, though: her clothing sits too squarely arround her stomach and breasts, I feel. (No pun intended. :)) The stone chair doesn't look quite right, either. I can't put my finger on why. Great carvings, though.
01-14-2008, 07:59 AM
Greenham ; I m glad u enjoy this thread :) I ll do my best, and thanks a lot for those kind words :)

I really like "Wind, flowers and samurai" and the first one, "Runner", 'couse they have that ..magic feeling. Especially "Wind,flowers..". I don't like your style much (i like realistic style - it's the best of the best), but these two are great! =)
