View Full Version : FreeC4D Models & Rigs

I believe CD is underated as an animation tool. To make rigs available for people to use in their studies or on sites like the "11 Second Club" , I decided to recreate my long dead C4D file site. (it used to be at At one time I had gathered permission to convert popular rigs like "LowMan", "Generi Rig", and more. I had several at the site, but those files have now been lost. I am in the process of re-sucuring permission to gather those models for c4d use and it's going well so far.

But I think with the cool comminity of c4d users out there, we all have something we can share to show off the strengths of our chosen tool. If you have a rig or character you want to make available for the community, go here to send it:

I have added a mesh that needs some talented poeple to rig it for the community. his name is "Gramps". He is also available at the link above.

"Bloke" mesh has been added......

It was created by Jason Baskin of! Enjoy.

Oh yeah, and don't foget to pith in if you download by sending back your rigged version. Or if you have unused meshes laying around that you would like to see someone using.

Thanks again..........

Not that anyone seems to care.......but we just added 3 or 4 new models/rigs over at the site.

Thank you for sharing. That water balloon scene is very cool. I've never seen a "wobble" constraint before. Hmm...

Hey, glad you like my water balloon rig, I'm just working now on a R10 core version of it.
This version won't have as many features but it's along the same lines, it uses xpresso rather than a CD skin tag to constrain the FFD points and the R10 spring constraint instead of the CD spring. I'll send it to Randy later and I'm sure he'll have it on the site soon.

Hey Randy, I think I have a copy of that lowman rig on my HD somewhere if you still have permission from the author to make it available. ;)

Howdy Randy,

Luvd the chicken/duck. Downloaded scene, went to render (was stoked the scene was Vray, too) but the stage/lights were missing. Intentional? Either way, thx for sharing.

and Thx for a cool site!

Yeah, was just trying to keep file size down, and load error away for non-vray users.

The stage I used is the last item on my download page. Generously donated by another user (credited on the page)

Thanks, have fun. If you rig him, remember to send him back.

The popular Maya model "Generi Rig" is up for those who care......

I've DLd a crapload of rigs going back to around 2003 and I'd be glad to send them to you, but I have no idea how I would get permission from everyone even if I could find them all.

01 January 2008, 12:25 AM
Send them, and I'll do my best to track them down. If I can't find the creator, I won't post them. But everyone has generally been nice about letting us convert or use them.

Thanks very much..........

Great! Will do.

As I said, some are quite old, so keep that in mind when posting. Some of those might be good for beginners, too.

The site has a new look and most of the meshes have OBJ versions uploaded now too!
Now all the folks with earlier versions can get the meshes too.
