View Full Version : WIP: "Enkhuyzen" (custom UE3 level)

Hey there guys,

Been a while since I shared my work, so here I am again :scream: I've been developing (for lack of a better word) a mood sketch level. The assignment was to design a fictional game (developing a complete game in a couple of weeks would be too much work ofcourse), and showing something digitally that shows off the mood you want the game to have. I chose to do it the least-easy way, to create part of a level. Even though I've only got a few weeks to do it and have to do it independently of other projects at school I decided to develop it as far as I could and make a flythrough. I chose the UnrealEngine 3 to show it off (since ofcourse it supports pretty lighting). Everything is custom, except the foilage (trees, grass etc), the little wall thingy in the short stone wall perpendicular to the church, the very temp floor texture and the rubble on the ground (just to quickly fill up the level) which are from UT3.

Enough talk, some screenshots :scream: All screenshots are in-game shots taken from the UE3 viewport (and yes, I know I still have to create a door :scream: ). Comments and crits are always welcome, even though the deadline's pretty tight and only have a few days left to finish.

I think it's cool. Strange that nobody commented yet. I like the mood and textures. Maybe you could make the color of street lights in the 1-st pic warmer. And maybe you could add some cold lights as accents, think what could motivate them. Also you could put additional lights of different color in other places - in windows and so on to create more difference.
