View Full Version : Maya2008 texturing question

I am working on this pyramid which is comprised of a series of rectangular blocks stacked, one on top of the other. I want to texture each one seperately and I have a question regarding Maya's Uv Texture Editor. I selected one of the blocks and when I went into the texture editor, maya unwrapped it into a series of squares. This will create distortion when I apply the texture to it in Photoshop. Is there a way to create a uv map that is identicle to that off the actual geometry of the object?
