View Full Version : Lava coming up to the surface!

I am trying to make this effect with PF (

The lava(volcano) has to grow up from the ground and strech out. Some what the effect of a line of gasoline set on fire.

My setup: I have a line converted to a mesh, which is the postion object for the PF. How can I get the PF to follow/grow on the mesh?

Any ideas!!:)

Try to use a deflector movin along the line to initate the particle spawn.

I'm gonna search for a small test I made a couple of days ago... Take a short.

Found it and made some screenshots and stuff. This is only an approach towards a (semi-)realistic fire effect. Needs several improvements and additions.

I have been testing your method, but I haven't gotten it to look wright in my scene. Is it possible for you to send the scene.

I will try some more.........
