Title: Upper City
Name: James Paick
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop

A visual development piece. The upper city built in the clouds. A utopian city with stylized architecture and design in an advanced civilization. This was to experiment with shape and design. Done in photoshop cs2.

The foreground comp is gorgeous, not so fond of the background towers myself, if I may say. Overall, quite a nice piece though!

Man, that main building is a stunner, James. I'm not sure the image needs the distant buildings, if you'll allow me a mild crit - their lack of detail is shown up in the face of the gorgeous metal work you've rendered on the main tower. Anyway, just my humble opinion! Your gallery is stunning, by the way. Some of the imagery - wasteland, canyon - really, really impressive.

Absolutely breathtaking! I agree, though, that the bg buidings may not even be necessary because the fg is so detailed and powerful on its own. And I don't think the dutch camera angle is helping the image.
