Ubelieveable. Amazing, and inspirational. I see you did pay attentiion to so many details, it's quite nice you choose that lightening theme.

04-20-2003, 11:43 AM
Overall great job! Althought I think he is lacking a bit more definition of the neck. As it is, it looks as if he has a very short neck or that his shoulders are really high up. Thats about all :)

sometimes I think photoshop and drawing skill is all enough for CG

CarlCampbell. I can tell from this image that he's sitting in a chair, with his arms on the armrests with his chin is held low,( in the true "This meeting is a waste of time" pose).

04-20-2003, 02:43 PM
looks like you've been to gondor, took the painting there from a wall and scanned it in! Must have been made from some sort of elf artist....

all thumbs up, really great!

04-20-2003, 05:34 PM

04-20-2003, 05:48 PM

Yeah... but then filmmaking would sure be slow^_^

Incredible artwork, though the head in the first piece looks a bit neckless, as soemone esle mentioned...

:scream:Really amazing work. Earning an award like above isn't something alot of people have the skills to get. i haven't got anything to say but one tiny thing. Did you make the colered pic of Boromir wider than the pencil sketch? because he looks just a bit chubby. The pencil sketch on the other hand, doesn't give that impression to me.

 i wish i could draw like that

04-21-2003, 10:45 PM
yeah, truly amazing work man
the pencil drawing alone was impressive enough as it was... and then i scrolled down. wow! you've gotta love it :)

04-22-2003, 03:30 AM

06-11-2003, 06:49 AM

look man I don't mean to be harsh, but I can definately tell what it is supposed to be and that you spent a lot of time on it, but the characters you are representing don't really look like who they are supposed to be. I don't know what to tell you. try screen capturing some ref frames with the characters at those angles and tracing the contours of their faces. But good stuff man
Keep it up

06-11-2003, 05:39 PM
Man......if I could draw/paint only half as good as you, I'd be a happy and probably rich man!

Keep posting more of your work! Its great!! Have you had any formal art training, or are your skills self-taught?

How much of it is digital and how much is traditionally painted?

Wow :applause:

06-11-2003, 06:11 PM
