View Full Version : question on human contours

Does anyone know any good online references for human contours and figure drawing? I've recenly delved into the realm of 3d art with 3dStudio Max (a VERY expensive hobby) and am trying to bone up on my drawings to help me model more effeciently. I'm a computer science major, minoring in economics and business admin, however I hope to do computer animations and 3d programing ( , my other home). I'm having trouble getting my hands around human contours, esspecially the contours that destinguish male from female, right.

I'm very good at drawing the male figure, however I was wondering if anyone had some good reference links on drawing the human body, starting with the very basics which is where I am. I'm very willing to learn.

Here are some of my concept drawings for my modeling thus far, I'm getting quite good at 3d stuido Max and am currently studying MAXscript and character riggings/animation.

Look for the Loomis Project in the above link.
