About the fim

This is a comercial film for christmas advertising campain for Continente, a major supermarket in Portugal, where the main Character is Leopoldina, and she is very famous there.
This Film, was made by CasaBlanca Animation, entirely in 3D, with huge heavy scenes, and be sure, higher level of details !
It was a big challenge to a small team, to did in 3 months.
Every process, from concept to production was made internaly, by the Casablanca Animation people.
Done with Maya, Mental Ray, Renderman, Inferno and Fusion.

I hope you enjoy...

I havent seen the Spot on TV mainly because its very rare for me to watch TV.

From the pictures posted it looks simply amazing, specially the Lighting and the Concept Designs, even though none of those kids really look like portuguese ;) their Concepts are extremly well designed, surpasses the vast majority of Characters quality for a TV Spot.

Parabéns que tá do Cara***

Hey Ricky ! Congratulations to you and the whole team at Casablanca.

Casablanca guys works like crazy, very few sleep if some... and no weekends, very tight deadlines always...
And you guys... always deliver such beauty! :applause: :applause: :applause:
You guys should share more of your brilliant work here.

Questions: the characters already existed in 2D - Portugal ? Or they came all from your team ? They look great, and the big bird reminds me somehow of the Big Bird from Jim Henson's Sesame Street TV series (in BR - Garibaldo ( vila sésamo), any influence?
Which part of the development was harder to do?

And just to share with the guys here at CGTalk... Rick Max is not only an ultra professional, top notch 3D guy, but also a great person and great mentor always disposed to help the team and friends to achieve their goals. Thanks Rick and keep it up man ;)

Over a year I don't make a visit to you and your team, lot of business but we take a coffee one of these days ok?

5 stars! Congratulations once more, great to see it on FP !

PS - Get some mirrors for the high res vers ;) Abração ! Tá demais ! Parabéns !
