Nice wasn't expecting that, Foundation for cheap, Mod-Tool for free and now Essentials Demo.... And unlike Luxologuy, they aren't charging $25 ;)
They also seem to suffer less from Bandwidth excuses...

I wonder if this means that Foundation will no longer exist as a product. The demo was foundation, then the 6.5 update came along. Foundation was not update to 6.5, it is not found on their Buy XSI page, and the demo is now Essentials (which is now $1000 more, than 6.0).

From what I've read/heard, Foundation didn't change numbers because the core of XSI didn't change, only features found in Essentials and Advanced changed. But with 7.0, all three will change to the current number, as the common elements between the three are undergoing changes.

I for one appreciate the change in demo. It's hard to evaluate whether or not you want to purchase Essentials/Advance, yet only have access to the features of Foundation.

Cunningly enough this means that if our essentials license doesn't turn up til after the foundation trial runs out (2 days time *gulp* - someone's dragging their heels somewhere. Got ordered weeks ago), then I should be able to move on to the essentials trial. I've succeeded in switching from one to the other at home, so this could be well timed.
I've always thought they should make essentials a trial version anyway. Those considering one or the other would have an opportunity to make a decision based upon actual use.
