View Full Version : character: girl with the white hat

Hi everybody, I've made this model this christmass holiday, but never had the time ever since to finish it due to work and uni so after a long while I decided to do some last tweaks and do some final renders.
It has been the first time I used poly modelling and it's my first head, so I'm sure there are areas that can be improved but I'd rather start on something new now so this has to be it ;) I deliberately chose to use simple hair, lashes and eyebrowes, since it's not a real person style character.

I love her!

I really love this model! Excellent work!
Has the right texturing and rendering to look like an anime model toy which is what I love about it. I'd honestly would love to see the whole body too but maybe I'm just pushin it a lil' LOL

Keep it going. ;) You have something there. :applause:

Thanks :) You're not the only one who'd like to see the rest of her.. I'd love to have the time to make the rest of her, unfortunately real life is holding me back to make the rest of her as well.. c'est la vie

Absolutely love the balance of stylization and realism..hope you find time in the future to finish, would dig seeing more in this style.

Hey if you use a cell shader, it would probably look alot like the new Zelda! THUMBS UP

Yeah! Cell Shading! Wind Waker rocks!

04 April 2003, 11:24 PM
Hehe, well, I will see if I get enough time to start on the rest of her body, but wouldn't you rather see a new character instead?

Oh and cellshading... I don't know about that to be honest.. I prefer the hand drawn manga style over the many cell shaded attempts.. with the exception of a few.. Hand drawn images can bear so much more character than cell shaded renders I think.

I'll give u a  for that coment...

I love the manga style too.. and its wery visible in your girl that u do too..

I have found lots of pictures in here that gives inspiration to making stuff.. tons of idears...

But still I would love to see a full char. too.. ofcause also another Char.. :D dont go lazy on me now. :D

You know what Austin Powers said...Ma...Ma...MOOOOLE! :) It makes her look that much more realistic and defines her personality somehow. Love the mole :)

Ah.. my site.. sorry, I still haven't gotten to upload my new stuff there, mostly drawings and design projects for uni. I'll try to get the new framework up this week so I can add new content as soon as I have it scanned in.
Thanks for the compliment btw, much appreciated :D
