Simply Awesome! I love the texturing of her lips and skin.
I'm curious but is that supposed to be a tear running down from her eyes? Or is that make-up? Because if it is, it looks a tad bit painted and flat.
Otherwise I think it's great!

Stunning work
Especially the lighting makes it good.
04 April 2003, 07:14 PM
Looks like it's front page quality. Nice job!
04 April 2003, 07:16 PM
Sooo cute
Really good work !
04 April 2003, 07:18 PM
Really nice, an interesting style.
The only thing I don't like is the eyeshadow, there is too much. Looks like she's been in too many fights.
All the best.
04 April 2003, 07:23 PM
Looks very good indeed!
The tears (lets assume they are) don't look very natural or logical. If they would flow from the tearduct then....
But anyways, the girl doesn't look sad and the "mood" doesn't portray sadness.

the lightning work is awesome.. and the skins is really realistic.. but.. bump of the lips is strange... they're looks likes not real..
Isn't it ?
04 April 2003, 08:22 PM
Thanx for ur comments
Yeah something was wrong in the bump map for the lips. I've fixed it :)
04 April 2003, 08:33 PM
really, really nice man!!!!!it has a really unique mood and i don't see anything wrong with the bump mapping...
front page for sure
04 April 2003, 11:37 PM

04 April 2003, 11:39 PM
that's very beautiful and moody.
I like it a lot.
04 April 2003, 11:49 PM
Love it! If she was real I'd date her.
04 April 2003, 12:02 AM
The texturing and style, I liked.
I agree with Frizzy that the tear drop should have more volume and some refraction would really leverage its look.

shes what like 10-12?
(good work nonetheless , altho not sure about the lighting looks underlit)
04 April 2003, 12:26 AM
Is it meant to be a real human or stylised? Because if it's real then the proportions need some tidying up. Either way she looks a bit shrivelled up, think it's the lightning and her face shape + heavy textures.
I mean technically great work texturing, modeling etc, but, don't know, looks a bit freaky to me.
04 April 2003, 12:34 AM
That's beautiful man. Good work....only thing that I noticed was the the highlight on the rt. eye is not as bright as the left eye....and it's a little lower. Did you mean to do this? Anyways...that's just nit-picking, it doesn't take away from the mood/quality. It looks incredible.
04 April 2003, 01:06 AM
that hair is very good.
nice job...like it.
04 April 2003, 01:15 AM

Very awesome work. My only gripe would be the eyes. They are way too far apart. But that might be a matter of taste. Very good job. Keep up the good work.
04 April 2003, 02:58 AM

Incredible work here man, everyone has mentioned the lighting already and I agree here, but another quality of this pic that's extremely nice for me is the shape of the eyes nose and mouth, incredible modeling on the main features of the face. Very adorable girl. As for the tear like texture, is it a tear or tattoo?. The hair is also very well done, what technique did you use?
Can we see a wire?

Looks good, but the shadow on her nose looks a little weird.
04 April 2003, 12:32 PM
Wow thanx for your comments & for the award :).
For the the tear , hum, this is poly one (you can see it on the wire).
About the hair, it's nurbs surfaces with opacity&specular maps. The eyebrows and eyelashes are also nurbs. The rest of the geometry is poly-modelled.
And here's the wire :

I Love This!! And I am actually quite fond of how distanced the eyes are from each other... something I do a lot in my own drawings. However, and nobody seems to have mentioned this - but it really stands out to me - (her)left eye doesn't seem like it sits under the lid... it almost looks like it's sort of shell-shaped, and popping above the lid. Very odd. As I type this reply, I am unable to view the image, so it's hard for me to articulate a solution except by memory...
It looks like the eyeliner on the top lid needs its thickness extended toward the outer corner, and the lower lid has no real thickness to it -- if you thicken the lid, it'll be much better. I love this pic.
04 April 2003, 09:05 PM
good work but the left eye is too dark
sorry for my english
05 May 2003, 11:01 PM
Brilliant. A must for the front page.
05 May 2003, 05:07 AM

05 May 2003, 07:27 PM
Wouah ! I love the modeling and the texture and the lights are well configured... fantastic ...
05 May 2003, 05:24 AM
Freakin Ay! dang man nice work.:applause:
05 May 2003, 05:35 AM
i think the render killed your quality and the skin texturing is nice. The eyes... the around the eye region is not good enough, it need more modelling reference.
Well.. the hair is nice.
05 May 2003, 05:47 AM
god i hope that you know that the proportions are all off. ..
05 May 2003, 06:47 AM
what can i say.... WOW!!!!
nice job

Really looks good, what I am about to say I preface with the point that it is very good work and deserves props. but I would also like to say that she looks, on some level, like a cross between a russian comendant and a little girl whith her eyes spread way to far apart. The hair is very good, and the lights make her look a little sinister,
but the fact is that her head looks slightly deformed...... not a lot, but slightly.... you wouldn't stop and stair, buy you would definately pick on her in elementary school...... Well keep up the good work
