Hi all i thought i would throw my hat in the ring.
I am gonna do the wolf from the 3 little pigs.
this started as a sketch inspired by bobo's pig posted on polycount (and here too I see now)
anyway I liked the way the sketch was going so why not try my hand at the competetion.
anyway here it is for what it is worth

here is an update as to how the 3d version is going as of tonight
just over 1000 poly's right now, the rest of the body doesn't have as much detail as the head

looks good so far. I was about to say there's too much detail, but with the high poly limit, you should be fine. post progress.

The nose is not really dog/wolf like. A dragon has that kind of nose, but a dog has it's noistrills pointing forward. Just something that struck me as odd, furthermore it looks good.

anyway here it is as it stands tonight. tired going to bed 1 am...:drool:
1520 poly's, 500 of which are in the teeth (will prolly change those)
anyway lookin good, I'm tired any other crits they always help :)

hi just a quickie update, fixed the teeth and recovered over 300 polys... woohoo
anyway will post again tonight as to how the body is coming along :) smiles

WIth the teeth, I would probably do even one less side, so each tooth would be a maximum of 6 sides, and then probably loose detail on the inside of the tooth where you don't see, but then again, it all depepnds on how it looks, and if you have enough polys at the end. :)
Looking good so far, looks like the concept :)

Looking great but there is one thing that immediately occurs (and I mentioned something similar on the Headless Horseman thread). Wasn't the wolf already edging towards the 'not to be trusted' and perhaps 'not really terribly benevolent' side of the fairy-tale character world?
There is, I might add, a theory springing up at the Horseman thread that if you try and do an evil version of an already evil character it cancels out and you should, in fact, end up with a nice entity. A wolf cub maybe...perhaps with a nappy and an oversized safety pin...
Like the model so far though. Is the concept sketch hand drawn?

well here is the mesh finished for now... im not happy with the hands... but i need comments on how to fix them (i suck at doing hands)

anyway umm whadaya think i know alot of updates form me bores the audience... you but pease tell me what you think... what can i fix...

mmm the hands look too human like shouldn't they have claws?
also, the feet look like they have quite a waste of polys ckeck 'em out
more than that, great work! keep it up!
...and a lot of significant updates helps us helping you don't say it bores us!
one more thing about this: if since your last update all you have changed are arms (e.g.) focus the new updates on the arms themselves, because we can see the rest in former pics ;)
