View Full Version : uv map exporting?

im looking for tutorials on how to export an unwrapped mesh(in blender) as a a jpeg or targa to take into photoshop for painting..I dont want to do screenshots of blender because that method is inaccurate...any help would be cool:) :)

I have a script to do that. It exports as tga, whatever resolution and wiresize you want.

Hey theeth, help me out man! I work with alot of big image files and your script exported my small 600x600 image stuff chairs, tables, some characters, etc. But it would not export a 2000x2000 uv tga of just one city block that weighed in at 1800 polys or so. What am I doing wrong?

I don't think there is any UNWRAPPING tutorial...

Just some tips... like trying not to unfold the whole object at once... better split it into parts...
I mean, you select some faces in face select mode, hit "Ukey" and unwrap the way you want.. then you move on to the other faces... All the art of UVmapping is, IMHO, in the way you'll split your object.
