View Full Version : Shader: ice anyone?

I am getting frusterated trying to do a nice rendering of the ice in an ice tray and glass that will be comped over video. The ice tray looks fine but the ice is getting frusterating to get to look good as far as not being too vivid or bright ..... or more mellow, or i dunno......same goes for the glass in the scene...AHHHH need some TD help before i pull my hair out :scream:
Here are the two examples from hell :hmm:

how do you want it to look.

I need it to look as 'real' as possible so when you see the video you shouldn't be able to tell its not real.

I dont know right now but I will take a look at some ice when I get home and maybe help u out tomarrow.
try takeing a pic of a tray of ice for reference and even set up a view plane so that when u render the real ice and your ice will be side by side and it my prove easier to get your shaders right.
and you should even get some ice and keep it right in front of you for some more reference.
