View Full Version : P-Array Problems in Max5

I'm using Max 5 and so no Particle Flow but I hoped someone might know how to help me out. I wanted to make a model of a swarm. The model is NOT being animated. I have tried two ways of doing this, one with particles, one with geometry. On the particle front, I have P-Array linked to a geosphere with tetrahedrons as instanced geometry. This, in turn, is bound to a PathFollow space warp. The trouble is that my little tetrahedrons are not oriented to follow the PathFollow warp, they all just point down. Any idea on how to fix this? Another idea for how to do this was to just use raw geometry to make my swarm, I'm actually kind of more attracted to this option because it offers a little more control of the shapes. Can I instance something like tetrahedrons to the vertices of an organic shape and have them
follow its contours? Thanks for any help. -Honeybear
