Does XSI have a polygonal alignment tool for lining up polys to global XYZ? I mean, Im sure it does - Im just unaware of it... Thx

Well there are alignment tools for objects under the transform menu on the right. You can also use the numeric entries with several objects selected and do L(1,1) which will distribute all the objects at location 1 for the axis you're editing.

However if you mean.. selecting polys on a single object and then aligning them all to the same bottom y or something of that nature, I'm not sure there's a way to do it outside using a script or snapping.

If you need to align some points to eachother you can select them in tagged mode and then use the scaling tool with center of geometry turned on (COG) and usually local set (or global in the case where the aligned plane is a global one) and scale down the axis you want until the points align. (ie grab the axis on the scale tool and move it towards the center, not crossing the center a few times until the points come into alignment)
