I am trying to use GI and final gather on a model I am working on, and I keep getting this problem with the shadows. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? (

I do find GI and FG in maya a big waste of time and effort. The best way to get a nice colour FG pass is to use the IBL node , and set the FG falloff stop on your render globals to 0.001 , that way you dont get the occlusion shadow. Then All you need to do is render a pure shadow pass and comp
