My inspiration is from this small drawing from Heinrich Kley. I am always fascinated by his crazy drawings, to me he is the master of strange behaviors. I know this is a very late entry and I'm not sure I'll make it or not, so I want to keep it simple and try my best to make it happen.

Oops, this one should be the concept/previz milestone instead of a modeling one,
anyone knows how can I change it?

This is the base mesh I've been working on. I started in maya then tweaked in mudbox. I'm still working on the forms& shapes of this base.

kinda a neat sketch. have you started on the lizard yet? i'm wondering what the animation will be.....is there a story that goes w/ this?
i am a late entry, too.....good luck getting your project done.

I've done with the basic shape of the old man, I think I'll start the lizard and then come back to pose him and do all the sculpting stuff. I wish I could work faster...still tons of stull to do.
Thanks for nice words....this is gonna be a modeling entry, so the animation is gonna be turntable only.
I visited your thread and liked your idea and design. Good luck man!!

I am still working slowly toward my goal...
Here's the first pass on the lizard, on the side is the base mesh which was built in maya.
Gotta start posing these guys and starting on the detail.
See ya guys later!!
good work so far
the lizard's face is much more expressive than the man's face, the man's face looks a bit standard, try to put some more love into the man

I made a really quick rig of the old man and posed it in maya, here is the pose.
Next task is to pose the lizard, and then some really intense sculpting action....still long way to go.
Thanks for your feedback, I'm sure I'll be working on that, show more "love" on it.
