View Full Version : adding Squash and Stretch to FBIK

I think I'm goin to try out maya 8.5's FBIK for a character I'm working on. I wanted to add a stretchy ik for the legs but I can't find the FBIK ik handles to add the stretchy if setup. Anyone know how to find the ik handles under the hood of the FBIK in maya8.5?

Can FBIK even do stretchy? I would suggest using the MayaHeaven script, I believe that enables you to create stretchy joints as part of its rigging capabilities.

I love maya heaven!!! As for FBIK, never use it so i'm sorry I can't help there.

what if i just scaled the joints in animation to get some SS?

ok so i gave up on fbik. I couldn't figure out how to delete key frames.

so i'm trying heaven. i'm lookin at the video that they have with heaven to see how to use it but man it's so fast and unclear. Can someone dumb it down for me?

how do i set up the arms legs and spine for a biped?
is naming really picky? if so what's the naming convention?
