View Full Version : Best OpenGl settings for Nvidia?
03 March 2003, 03:47 AM
I was just looking at the OpenGl settings in nvidia drivers and was wondering what are the best settings. I'm using mainly maya so I chose the maya preset. Is there any diference between this setting and say the one for softimage? Also is there anything else I can change to get better performance?
I have the geforce ti4200 softmodded in to a quadro4 700 xgl.

Use the presets for the application you are currently using. If you switch back and forth a lot you can always try to leave it on one but you should really switch NVIDIA's application default setting as well.
They do a lot to optimize performance and also fix ISV application and driver bugs that affect the particular application you are setting it for.

Use the default for maya, but: Turn vertical sync to "off by default". Turn multi-display to "multi-device performance" if you use Dualview. That's all i know.
