awesome work, iam really really impressed!!
the coloring is brilliant, along with a touch of mystique and darkness. though, i think you should have added alittle more depth , maybe the viewable distance is too short...

I like the final pic how it is right now, it is all compact and hard to see into like a real forest would be, there are too many pics where you can see the river running through it, it gets old, sweet job:thumbsup:

very nice, and as someone mentioned tarzan like, I'll have to post my two charcoal renderings in the same style. At VFS our Background and Layout instructor was Birgitta Pollanen. n Really sweet lady. Anyways she taught us how to do blue pencil and charcoal renderings, and for the charcoal one she showed us how to do a tarzan like rough layout in less than three hours.

Anyways, colours and depth are great, the tree on the right is a little odd how it gets a little wider in the middle, but thats minor, I understand its hard to see the bottom of that tree in the original.

I would work on your own composition and colours rather then simply replicating the originals. I mean while it is obvious you did these themselves and they are not exact copies, I can tell that the colour one is from PG 134 and the black and white is from Pg 142 of the tarzan chronicles. These images are farily easy to build thebasic composition of so I would recommend for you next you make your own lighting and composition. Nothing wrong with what you did, good to learn that way. Also I would be careful of using either of these in your portfolio, if I picked them up that quickly I'm sure studios will pick them up eve quicker. especially since both compositions were used in the film as well.

Great painting though would love to see more.
