View Full Version : explosions in maya

I am working on a short animation that needs an explosion. I wanted an object to be still and when another object hit the original object causing it to explode with trails of smoke and fire. When the chunks land and bounce off the ground I want it emit more particles. I tried using soft and rigid bodies with the forces in maya but the explosion is not working out. Can some one please help?

whats not working out? the dynamics of it or the look of the explosion itself?
