View Full Version : Changing UV's on a Skinned Model

07 July 2007, 04:51 PM
I'm working on a group project in which I modeled and UV mapped a character and then someone else rigged it. When I was UV mapping, I was told that I had to get that finished before skinning work could begin. Unfortunately, I've discovered some problems with my UV map now that skinning complete and I'd like to fix them.

Can I change my UV's now or will this ruin the work of my skinner?

You can change the uv-map all you want (as in repositioning the UVs), just don't change the mesh in any way that changes the number of vertices. But sewing, cutting and moving the UVs on the UV-map should work unless the rigger is doing some funky pipeline voodoo

Thanks, that should make my life a lot easier! :)
