Added a couple... pounds of muscle, as for the story - I guess I find a mermaid or something that lives in the ocean.
About 35 minutes in photoshop

Imagus..that's cheating...hahaha...how is that a self-portrait??
Anyway..here's mine. I tried drawing myself somewhere around my 30s with my hair a bit longer, and leaving my beard to grow for like a year, haha. Also dropped a couple pounds :) . The ears came out terrible, though :P...oh and do forgive the lack of properly drawn eyelashes. :P

Imagus..that's cheating...hahaha...how is that a self-portrait??It portrays exactly how I would appear on a romance novel cover... i.e., never. Think Spinal Tap's "Smell the Glove" album (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xF5TeHf5QQ) cover (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlynf--lsxA)... same idea. It's 100% accurate.
Besides, I taped a photo to the book... not my fault it didn't develop correctly. ;)
I suppose that, if you really need to rationalize it, it could be said that, as a self-portrait, it transcends the limitations of visual perception and explores the depths of inner self and emotion though the use of visual metaphor. - Approved by Mr. Happy Thumbs-Up Smiley™
Meh. I can pull it down if it's too far off-topic... let me know. It might have been a better idea in my head than it ended up being on-screen. In reality, I hate the idea of posting self-portraits, and this was my way around it. :p

My uncle walked in on my taking a reference photo for this.. so I'm taking a profile photo of myself making a lusty look. It was pretty funny.

Embryotic. Thanks! Nice to get some feedback. I think we should all make a bit of an effort to post crits and not just votes. It's good to know what it is you're doing wrong so you can improve.
Imagus. I was just kidding...very innocent comment. Besides, who could argue with that logic? hehe. If Mr.Smiley approves, then it's all good. :)
