View Full Version : mental ray image-format conversion?

Just trying to track down a mental ray utility that I've used before -

it's something you run from the command line, which converts images into a mentalray-friendly format, so that rendering will occur faster.

Does this ring any bells for people? I know I used it on a job before, but I can't remember what it was called or where I read about it!

very big thanks!

Hi caulfield,

Would it be maya*.*\bin\imf_copy.exe to convert to .map perhaps?

I noticed an update to FileTextureManager.mel on highend3d today that claims to now support converting to mr texture formats. (I use this script alot in the past, but havent yet tried this update)
