View Full Version : 8RDA+ Thermal Images

WoW, these suckers can get pretty hot, it looks like cooling the cpu, northbridge and southbridge may not be enought for serious overclocking. Very interesting stuff

remember that the 8RDA+ uses passive cooling on the northbridge to keep noise levels down. if you are using a quality case and not overclocking your sytem, there are no thermal problems with this board.

ambient temperatures of 40 degrees are quite normal, and very safe. no permanent damage occurs to most silicon chips until the hit roughly double that temperature.
