This looks like a pretty interesting challenge. I've already seen alot of great entries, so now it's time to add mine to the list.
Here's a small version of my original plate. This picture was taken by Brad Templeton, who graciously gave me the rights to use it freely.

I have to take out the person and the metal signs, then I need to rework the saturation and color balance. I'm not sure how much matte assembling I'm going to do, though.

I haven't forgotten about this challenge. I'm doing a little work, but I'm trying to finish my school project first. Update is coming soon, though.

First time I've ever used MAX. Just testing the workflow, but I'll probally stick to Maya forthe most part. Several updates coming soon. I just finished my barn project for class. It's still a WIP though. . .

Here is the air collector. Still needs alot of detail.
Need to fix the light sampling on the ring on top.

I'm trying to balance my school work with this project, but CG is so addicting! Please critique my work. Anything would be appreciated.
