View Full Version : Arm Twist, simple question

06 June 2007, 02:51 PM

Really simple question. I have an arm, where the forearm has two bones. I make the IK from shoulder to hand. I can rotate the bones between them without problem. Then I add a pole vector constraint to a locator and I can't rotate the bones anymore.

Is it possible to have both pole vector constraint AND be able to rotate the bones inside the IK?

Yup, just make sure that your twist setup is a separate chain that gets parented to the elbow joint. I always create my arm setup first, then I go in and add a 2 bone twist setup that I parent to the elbow, never had any problems using the pole vector and twist setup when doing it that way.
