I am rendering the earth in 3D in Maya: I have the actual earth map, bumpmap & clouds
figured out, but how do I do the atmosphere?
The earth is being viewed up close with the 'edge' visible. Like in the movies; when you
look at the earth head on, the atmosphere is tranparent. However, when you see the 'edge'
of the earth, you get that nice "haze" which represents the atmosphere. I need to recreate
that for my rendering.
