View Full Version : NURBS render bad in Mentalray

I have a problem I can no longet go around. A NURBS surface always looks really coarse when rendered in Mentalray, no matter how fine I set the tesselation of the surface. In software render it looks fine, but Mentalray does not like to get it right. Any idea what's wrong?

(using Maya 6.5)

no matter how fine I set the tesselation of the surface try attaching an approximation node to your geometry. window->rendering.editors->mentalray->approximation.editor->nurbs.tesselation

Alright, it's working. This override control is really handy when Maya NURBS refuse to cooperate.
