View Full Version : Multiple Maps on the same Mesh?

Anyone know of a good tutorial on using a least 2 seperate maps for a low poly model? For example, if I wanted a 1024x1024 map for a models body and a 512x512 for his face.

I was setting the material ID's when I realized that I'm not sure how this is done. Would it be so simple as not using the same material ID twice, and applying a different map to certain polygons, respectively?

well you could detach ur mesh n apply those textures seperately after that attach the mesh together without modifying the material ids

are you using Maya, LW or Max?

its easy, jsut setup your multi/sub object in the material editor, select the poly you want, then apply the material to the selected polys then the material number is the matt id, that simple :D
