View Full Version : Two phong mirror reflections - black

The problem is, when I use two mirrors and let's say in first mirror render second mirror is black. The same problem is for MR dielectric material, when I look through dielectric render to DGS, another dielectric, reflective blin etc.. they are black.

I turned Ray Trace to 10 10 10 10 in render globals, but seems it do not change the situation..
I use Maya 8.0

Well your shadow trace depth shouldn't need to be higher than 4 most likely. it could be as simple as checkin the render stats in the attribute editor for each piece of geometry? Make sure the "visible in Reflections" and "visible in Refractions" are checked on. its my first thought so I hope it helps. :)
