View Full Version : HMC9 : Star Wars Tribute : LAAT/i Gunship

05-25-2007, 11:44 PM
OK, first time entry for me (i'm must be feeling brave)

I have decided to model a LAAT/i gunship used by both the Old Republic and the Galactic Empire in the Episode 2/3 era, The Clone Wars.

I'm going to attempt a version used by ARC troopers/Republic commando's for "black Op's" missions.
I'm still working out the scenario details, and i may attempt a few commados if time permits.(at least since they are clones i'll only need to make one :))

05-26-2007, 11:52 AM
I just finished a double bill of Episodes I&II this morning. I totally overlooked the Clones and remembered how cool the Gunships are.

Best of luck, mate.

05-26-2007, 03:01 PM
great choice the gunship is very cool will be watching this one :)

05-26-2007, 11:35 PM
great choice the gunship is very cool will be watching this one :)Well i hope its worth watching mate ...

I made a start on it tonight after grabbing several shots off of Episode 2.

05-27-2007, 09:25 AM
Damn you, Simjoy, for you are getting off to a flying start! :D

05-27-2007, 11:22 PM
you are getting off to a flying start! :DWell i wasnt until i added the wings ...:)

05-28-2007, 07:33 AM
Awesome start!

05-28-2007, 07:41 AM
Its taking shape nicely.:)

05-28-2007, 03:18 PM
Nice !! update...

05-28-2007, 10:10 PM
A bit more done tonight ..

The more i look, the more i seem to find to do ... this may take a while :)

05-28-2007, 10:20 PM
It's shaping up nicely:thumbsup: looking forward to seeing your progress on this.

Jeff Dux
05-29-2007, 12:44 AM
looks like youīre off to a good start. and now keep the updates coming, coz I canīt wait to see more :).

btw, where did you find those blueprints? perhaps you can post a link where i can find those prints.

05-29-2007, 01:53 PM
I've honestly no idea where i got then. I spent a day google searching for as many pics as i could find and that was one of them ..

If you want them let me know and i'll upload them to my site. I'm not sure if they are 100% accurate, but they are good for the general shape ..

05-29-2007, 09:23 PM
wicked mate... love'n it so far

05-29-2007, 11:20 PM
looking pretty good nice updates

05-30-2007, 01:07 PM
Despite my total inability to model the cockpit properly  I've moved on to something i could do ..

Added gunpods and remodelled the rocket launchers ..

05-30-2007, 04:59 PM
Oh thats fantastic, Simjoy! However, don't give up on the cockpit too soon and just keep experimenting with different approaches. I'm sure you'll figure it out soon enough.:)

05-30-2007, 11:06 PM
Well, still not much luck on the cockpit area so ..

enlarged the side gun pods as it looked as if only Yoda would fit into them .. added missile bay and part of the missile loader mechanism ..

05-31-2007, 01:56 AM
nice update

05-31-2007, 09:04 PM
Mmmmmm Choclaaaate.
Pretty nifty modeling Thar....
Looks quite correct.....
awaiting update.

05-31-2007, 09:08 PM
Yes, Mr 'Joy: Update! Update!

05-31-2007, 10:24 PM
Patience ..

I'm working on the cockpit area at the moment. Once i've done that then thats the basic shape sorted out. Then i can start adding details .

06-01-2007, 06:57 PM
Small update for you, but a big step for me' cos i finally got the cockpit modelled ..

Otherwise i've just been going round tidying up the mesh here and there so i will be ready to proceed to the next level ..

06-01-2007, 07:06 PM
Well I'm glad someone has got their cockpit done!

06-01-2007, 07:16 PM
Indeed ... I dont know why, but i just had a complete blank as to how to do it ..

and then it was pretty straightforward

06-01-2007, 07:29 PM
looking good, my suggestion would be to maybe thicken up the gun barrells very very slightly on the fonmt guns, they look a wee bit thin.

06-01-2007, 10:18 PM
Possibly a little bit, maybe ...

Anyway, this is where i am at the moment.. Loads of detail still to add. I'll need to make educated guesses about some of it as i dont have enough reference pics of detail like the door mechanism etc ..

06-01-2007, 10:47 PM

06-02-2007, 10:43 AM
Steady on now mate ...

Still a long way to go yet. and somehow i need to model a Clone Pilot and some gunners as well ....

06-02-2007, 12:12 PM
well done it is great byfar, butofcourse this is only the start! :)

06-02-2007, 04:23 PM
well done it is great byfar, butofcourse this is only the start!
You know lightcache, i get the feeling we've met somewhere before ...:)

06-02-2007, 05:22 PM
Re: Simjoy...

Hmmm...too familiar if you ask me...

06-02-2007, 05:44 PM
great job so far =) hope you have time to do the clone troopers... would love to see what you do with that

06-03-2007, 11:41 PM
Thanks Whyst, character modellings not my strong point but i'll hopefully have time to give it a go ....

I've started adding detailing to the rear of the gunship now ..

06-04-2007, 12:26 AM
very nice. this is one of my favorite ships from the prequels. Looking forward to more updates!

06-04-2007, 08:47 AM
thanks Projectkmo

Still plenty to do. ATM i'm just prioritising what needs to be done for the challenge, versus what i'd like to do.
i still need to model a character(s), a pilot at least, depending on my final chosen diarama ..

06-04-2007, 01:01 PM
That is now looking seriously sexy.

06-05-2007, 01:36 PM
Pretty much finished the rear of the ship. added rear door, wing mounted air to air missiles, door rockets and various smaller details.

Next to do is side door mountings, wing gunpod interiors.
Probaby wont have time for a cockpit interior, but it would all be guesswork anyway as i cant find any good interior reference.

then textures hopefully ..

06-05-2007, 02:35 PM
Love the details. It really makes your model stand out. Good job.

06-05-2007, 03:25 PM
This is where I will get over-taken by everyone else, and its all in the details. I find it incredible how you all manage to keep tweaking your works to perfection. Its inspiring.

06-05-2007, 03:54 PM
pretty cool progress man, i really dig that last image you posted.
keep up the good work. no crits yet

06-05-2007, 04:15 PM
Looking great! As Juice said, the details really make it look awesome. What modelling techniques are you using? I seem to remember a screenshot that had some poly faces to it, but for some reason, the way certain things are coming together strikes me as nurbs surfaces. Well, whatever you're doing, keeping doing it!

06-05-2007, 05:25 PM
It's getting better and better.
good luck.

06-06-2007, 12:51 PM
thanks for the encouragement guys ...

Still a couple of bits to model yet, but i'm busy unwrapping the fuselage section just now ..

@gregorioSB, all poly modelling so far ..

06-06-2007, 07:21 PM
Daym, your on fire mate, gonna need a smoke alarm for that puppy soon.

06-06-2007, 10:48 PM
gonna need a smoke alarm for that puppy soon.there's one fitted in the cockpit, but i dont think i'll be modelling it .......

thanks for the kind words mate .. I've almost reached the point where i need to finalise my idea for the scene.
much depends on whether i have enough time to model any characters ...

06-08-2007, 11:34 AM
Well, i think thats about all the modelling i can manage for now. Still got the texturing to do and an environment to build, and the character that i keep putting off ......

06-08-2007, 12:00 PM
Dude, you are awesome. Plain and simple.:)

06-08-2007, 12:56 PM
looks fantastic:thumbsup:

06-08-2007, 01:14 PM
nice, this one is really coming along.

06-08-2007, 09:38 PM
Dude, you are awesome. Plain and simple.:) aw shucks ... you say the nicest things mate, even if you do exaggerate a bit ...

kingpin35, reedomatic, thanks for the comments ...

I tried unwrapping it yesterday, needless to say i'm going to do it all again tonight

06-09-2007, 06:36 AM
I agree with the others. Excellent work! looking forward to seeing some nice battle scarred textures on this model.

06-09-2007, 03:11 PM
looking very good, good luck for the unwrap it's not easy for mechanic pod was not easy to unwrap, i know what is wainting for u...

Jeff Dux
06-09-2007, 05:34 PM
I tried unwrapping it yesterday, needless to say i'm going to do it all again tonight

hehe....sounds familiar. good luck anyway!
one tip though...try modo!! it has one of the best uv mapping toolset.

and thanks for your pm btw.

06-10-2007, 08:26 PM
and thanks for your pm btw. No Problem mate, hope it was some good to you ...

I've taken the weekend off to regroup my focus .. hopefully i'll get started again tomorrow ..

06-12-2007, 10:06 PM
OK, unwrappimg went a bit better second time so i've started painting some textures.
Just a diffuse map so far, i intend it to get a lot dirtier than this ......

06-12-2007, 10:50 PM

06-13-2007, 12:37 AM
hahah that looks great

06-13-2007, 01:00 AM
Shocked... Exellent work my friend...

06-13-2007, 08:21 AM
Shocked... Exellent work my friend...yeah, im shocked that i did some excellent work as well ....:)

Thanks Whyst, Firerbert. times ticking away and i've still to start on the elusive Clone Pilot.

I figure getting the gunship done first at least gives me a finished entry, anything else is a bonus.
There are some excellent character models being done, as well as vehicles so, being my first challenge, i dont expect to win, but i really want to be sure of getting a finished entry in.

06-13-2007, 07:02 PM
Great work Simjoy, would like to see some battle damage on this baby...:bounce:

06-13-2007, 08:27 PM
Lets get that thing dirty, dinged up and one of those realistic renders you love to do then...

cough, cough....CGS Gallery Award... cough...cough...cough :bounce:

At least a 3D Underworld Front Page : )

06-13-2007, 10:08 PM
cough, cough....CGS Gallery Award... cough...cough...cough :bounce::drool: Understated as ever John ...

dirt to come later

06-14-2007, 02:56 AM
Dirty it up!?! But it's looking so good all clean and spiffy! Looks like you got to the bump/normal maps. I like it. I'm falling ever behind!

Still planning on a clone, or are you gonna just finish this, or even try for another submission? Keep up the good work!

06-14-2007, 08:04 AM
Damn I wish that was sitting on my computer desk:bounce:

06-14-2007, 09:37 AM
i love your ship, is incredible!
go dirty it!!

06-14-2007, 09:53 AM
Thanks for all the encouragement guys .. I need it 'cos at the moment i'm getting a sore head trying to unwrap everything ..
I will dirty it up, but i want to texture everything first just so its all done, then go back round adding dirt.

as someone else said, it is a modelling comp so at the very least i need to have a finished gunship and environment ...

06-14-2007, 01:32 PM
OK, i couldnt resist getting dirty ....;)

06-14-2007, 01:45 PM
Hmmm...I bet the Clones inside are listening to Christine Aguilera. :D

06-14-2007, 02:42 PM
nice. might I recommend the flak damage to look more like it's skimmed off of the hull from different angles as at the moment it looks a bit weird.

06-14-2007, 09:02 PM
I've adjusted the Bump map on the wings, fixed some texture stretching round the doors and generally weathered the paintwork ..

06-14-2007, 09:47 PM
its simply gorgeus
can i marry this thing?
its definatly one of the best i'v seen in this challenge
(no offance ment to all the rest)

06-14-2007, 10:31 PM
WOW:bounce: That looks bloody awesome!

Kinda feel sorry for whoever is judging this challenege as there are many wicked entries!

06-15-2007, 05:18 AM
Brilliant stuff.

06-15-2007, 09:04 AM
bump map and textures are looking awesome! although I did like the clean (before dirty) version too... its like a little toy I can play with :applause:

06-15-2007, 08:47 PM
its like a little toy I can play with :applause: :p

thanks for your kind works guys. i'm speechless

Anyway moving on ... more UV unwrapping nonsense :banghead: and a bit more texturing ..

06-16-2007, 09:11 PM
Coming along nicely. Waiting for the next update. Looking forward to seeing more modeling...

06-18-2007, 05:08 PM
update again. Getting there ... slowly ...

06-18-2007, 05:11 PM
i think... wait... yes.... yes i did
i just sharted.

06-18-2007, 05:19 PM
Its looking nearly finished, as someone said before, smear the blast impacts, its moving when it gets hit with lazers and explosives so the smoke/burns would not be perpendicular. Also some of the fading would be on the leading edges of the craft, like the prominent parts of the front of the hull, the front area of the upper nose bubbles...
I can wait till you got it in a cloud of red smoke or skimming along the red sand, it gonna look real... :)

06-18-2007, 10:07 PM
I can wait till you got it in a cloud of red smoke or skimming along the red sand, it gonna look real... :)

took a break from texturing (especially unwrapping ) and played around with some compositing ...

06-18-2007, 10:11 PM
Looking great! Add some dust

06-18-2007, 10:16 PM
good job man, not easy to get a good render un a desert, i also try to do this!
i love your ship the texture is amazing, clap clap!

06-19-2007, 12:30 AM
I like the texture and the color!

06-19-2007, 03:27 PM
Thanks everyone ..

It was done as a break from texturing, and probably bears no relationship to the finished scene, although it did work out pretty well so i'll keep it as a backup plan in case time runs out ...

06-19-2007, 03:53 PM
Lookin sweet so far ... just needs some clone troopers now!

06-20-2007, 01:02 PM
Lookin sweet so far ... just needs some clone troopers now!yeah, thats the stumbling block at the moment .. I've made a couple of attempts but i just cant seem to get into character modelling that easily. They just never look right to me so i end up scrapping them ..

I'm having another go just now, but with the closing date looming i dont know how far i'll get ...

06-20-2007, 10:21 PM
OK, since any crew are not going to be in close up, and since my character work sucks, this is my effort so far to make a Clone Trooper ... minus helmet and gloves ..

06-20-2007, 10:32 PM
Yeah, as long as the LAAT is the main focus, we aint gonna get to see the Clones much anyway. Good work Simjoy.

06-20-2007, 10:37 PM
Good effort sim...
You gonna make some droids to be cut up after or what :)

06-21-2007, 10:58 AM
Well hopefully a droid or two are in the plan ...

I think this is good enough for the purpose of the scene, just some textures to add ..

06-21-2007, 09:27 PM
Since the troopers arent the main focus this is pretty much it, just some weapons to add

06-21-2007, 09:46 PM
looks good, probably not an issue cos he's gonna be so small but his feet look the wrong way round(big toe looks like little toe if that makes sense)

the ship looks amazing by the way.

06-22-2007, 12:40 AM
Great work on the craft! I like this one very much, I just went through the whole thread.
Ever since I saw that thing in the movie I wanted to make a physical model of it, but I had no drawings and didn't want to build it with arbitrary proportions.
Where did you get the orthographic view line drawings? I'd love to get my hands on those...

06-22-2007, 09:19 AM
looks good, probably not an issue cos he's gonna be so small but his feet look the wrong way round(big toe looks like little toe if that makes sense) :D LOL, dont know how that happened ...
As you say it wont really matter, but i've sorted it now 'cos it would probably bug me knowing it was wrong.

Thanasis, thanks man ..
These arent the print i found, but are actualy much higher res, so i wish i had ..

So, just to rig this guy, make some guns, maybe some battle droids then build a scene, then im done ...not long then

06-22-2007, 10:10 AM
Thanks for the link.
I'll be sure to check on the final outcome of this.

Keep up the good work.

06-22-2007, 04:09 PM
Well i've cloned the clone and got a Captain, a Pilot and a standard "grunt" (soon to be half a dozen grunts)
I've rigged them well enough to pose them in the scene, but i wouldnt want to try and animate any of them

I resisted the temptation to have them all holding hands ....

06-22-2007, 04:36 PM
I resisted the temptation to have them all holding hands ....

06-22-2007, 05:56 PM REALLY should have them hold hands, that would be absolutely brilliant. You can have something like 20 troopers, holding hands in a circle and have them starring in awe at the LAAT/i hovering in the middle.

06-22-2007, 06:38 PM
LOL. Shame, we should have joined forces - you would do the Gunship and I could have bang out the Clone Troopers...

Oh well, never mind, eh.

Still, this will be a hot contender for the #1 spot.

06-22-2007, 09:07 PM
Still, this will be a hot contender for the #1 spot. Are you sure you posted that comment in the right thread mate ???

i am actually quite pleased with the way its going, but after so long (relatively) im really pushing myself to get this done now ..

The line between what i want and what i can achieve in the time left is blurring slightly ...

Next time i want to do something with characters in it, i'll give you a call ..:)

06-22-2007, 09:48 PM
At least it can fly now with the pilot, co-pilot and gunner on board ..
Just a platoon of Clone troopers to load and that parts done ..

06-22-2007, 11:42 PM
Its looking alot more realistic now that it has passangers. I'm liking it alot dude!

06-23-2007, 10:54 AM
Yeah, its looking real good, even though you never streaked the blast marks... :P
Find a nice Hdri to sort out your lighting with.
Try Evermotion, the have free hdri,s...

06-23-2007, 11:28 AM
love your pics it's realistic and you have pilote and troopers in your ship lol !
you have done a great job!!!

06-23-2007, 12:40 PM
Are you sure you posted that comment in the right thread mate ???

Cocky mode: Well Sim, since I am the only other hot-property in this contest you can take that as a big Ten-Four.

06-23-2007, 02:34 PM
How much am i paying you again ??? Take a 50% raise .....

ATM i'm trying to get a displacement map to work in MR as well as it worked using Scanline for the scenery ...

06-23-2007, 04:11 PM
I would suggest that if you have time, to have the side gunner shooting, some flak explosions in the sky, and maybe a few regular low-res LAAT/i in the background, because this model is begging to be put in a combat scene.

06-26-2007, 11:56 PM
I'm still working away on this. Lack of time, loss of direction and my Birthday all got in the way .....

Anyway, a couple of different ideas have come and gone so, given the time left, this is where its going ..

06-27-2007, 12:05 AM

I thought you left us or something...

Excellent idea for a scene! I love it!

The guys jumping in and running really brings the scene to life. The background I don't know about but the setup is really cool.

I like the idea of an outside sand scene better...

might want to change the camera angle slightly as this one is making the top look like one gun.

06-27-2007, 09:54 PM
Still here John .. i'm running out of momentum after 5/6 weeks work though ..

Basically everythings done except for the setting, which i have to say im struggling with. Something that shouldnt be too hard but for some reason is ...

I might just forget it for a couple of days, and see if that helps. There's still a few days left to get it done ...

If anyone has any ideas/suggestions/free beer, let me know .....

06-27-2007, 10:08 PM
OMG Sim, dat is da bomb!:bounce:

Even comes with little clone trooper figures as well!:applause:

06-27-2007, 10:14 PM
i agree all the clone troopers really add to the scene =) plus they give a good scale reference

and don't say a few days! we have a little more than that right... >.< heheh

06-27-2007, 11:41 PM
Don't worry too much about the setting. Adjust your camera with a low, more dramatic angle and set the depth of field to shallow in order to blur out some of the background. You can set your scene in a sand dune around dusk to get some really nice highlights, although that might eat away some of your blue colours. Another thing you could do is have your camera on an edge of a canyon and the LAAT/i rasing from bellow with all the troops on alert, ready to fire. I dunno, just throwing it out there. It's looking marvelous and that's all that counts :)

06-28-2007, 02:01 PM
Thanks for all your input guys .. :)

I'll leave it today and get back to it again in the morning, hopefully with some fresh ideas ..

06-29-2007, 12:12 PM
First of all, I love the model. Great work!

A few suggestions for the scene though.

1) I think the camera angle could do with being lower. Bit more of a trooper's eye view.

2) Maybe the gunship could do with being at an angle relative to the ground (perhaps kicking up a dustcloud as well). This would suggest more of a combat situation, with troopers running to get onboard as the gunship is still moving.

3) Guns, guns, guns! I think at least some of the troopers could do with weapons (perhaps with one or more aiming back the way they have come from, as if covering a retreat?). If you can get at least one or two of the weapons firing as well, that would be great.

06-30-2007, 12:20 AM
Thanks Karras .

yes guns are noticebly absent at the moment (coming soon) i just want to get the final camera angle sorted so i know what i need to do ..

so ..

Guns .. YES
dust .. YES
100 other ideas to incorporate .. YES, but no time ..:)

I've lowered the camera angle, i'll post up a render in the morning ...

06-30-2007, 03:29 PM
OK, no guns or dust, just a test for angles ...

missed a bit of texturing on the wing pod

06-30-2007, 03:35 PM
Little Clone Troopers in action. So funny...kinda reminds me of the green army men in Toy Story.

"Sir - just leave me, I'm done for anyway!"

"Can it soldier - we never leave a man behind!":applause:

06-30-2007, 08:08 PM
you should get rid of the DOF, it makes everything look very small...
Otherwise its very cool!

06-30-2007, 08:37 PM
OK , no DOF (well a little) some added guns and dirty troopers .........

I think i'm going with this shot, i'll render in separate passes for the final shot ..

Now onto dust ......

06-30-2007, 09:06 PM
Your models is really good and I think the environment kinda spoils everything. The sand is too orange and shiny in places and I'm not too fond of the angle you have chosen. The level height at which the camera currently is, doesn't really justify the urgency of the situation in your scene. Clearly everyone is in panic mode, running mentally, getting ready to retreat and that's why I think you need to go for a lower, more extreme angle. Also the lighting seems all wrong. If they are in a cloudless dessert, the sun shadows would be really harsh and dark, which would mean that the areas inside and bellow the ship, should be much darker. On another note, if you add some glow and dust in post, the final render will become much better.

06-30-2007, 09:48 PM
Thanks Yav, i'm trying a few things out. I've moved the camera in and around a bit to get closer to the action ..

06-30-2007, 10:02 PM
MUCH, much better :) Now all you have to do is adjust your composition, so the screen frame doesn't abruptly cut vital parts of the scene and you're pretty much done.

06-30-2007, 10:12 PM
I agree with Yav. Try and make more "widescreen". The only that would bother me is that the side gun pod is blocking out the view of the Gunship interior, but I suppose thats something that cant be helped due to the design.

If I could have the time again, I would definitely have teamed up and done the Clone Troopers for you. I really love those guys!:D

06-30-2007, 10:51 PM
Yeah, the gunpods do kind of get in the way but they are an important part so ....

a slight re-composition

06-30-2007, 11:04 PM
Not bad edit you made there.

07-02-2007, 10:16 AM
Thanks Boone,
Well i reckon thats about it. Not a lot of time left now and i want to be sure of getting an entry in on time.
I'll render out some separate passes and add dust etc in PS ..

07-02-2007, 02:53 PM

OK, this is my first attempt at compositing the scene in Photoshop ..

That look's great SimJoy! I like the urgency of the situation you have captured. Looks like the clones got an old fashioned arse-whooping and are retreating quickly..great work.

Thanks man ..

I've made a few more adjustments/changes/experiments ...

Wow the dust really makes a difference to the composition. Very nice

Wow! that looks great!
I really enjoyed following your process.

though i think you could improve 2 little things in your final composition:

the pose of the wounded trooper, the one who gets carried into the LAAT, looks quite strange to me. perhaps you can have one trooper grab him directly at the knees, or adjust his pose so that he doesnīt look so stiff and weightless.
the glass of the gunpod doesnīt look like glass at all. it lacks some transparency and some reflections.
so nothing major here, just some little tweaks to make this thing perfect ;)

and i hope you donīt mind my nitpicking

thanks Cat

Jeff, you second point has been addressed as i added the reflection pass that i forgot about ...
I'll look at your first point. Should only need a small adjustment

thanks again for your comments ...

made a few other small tweaks here and there. Colour adjustment and explosions being the main ones .

looks really great sim, i really like how you've washed out everything and pulled the focus onto that glorious ship.

my only crit would be that the explosions all look exactly the same and they probably wouldnt be

07-03-2007, 01:39 PM
Awesome work Sim.

07-03-2007, 02:48 PM
thanks guys, I've adjusted the explosions a bit.

If i can manage some realistic looking laser blasts i'll add them and i reckon it will be done ..

07-03-2007, 03:54 PM
Great job! very nice layout. And the idea of putting some clones here and there really adds to the whole thing. Love it!

How does it feel to have an image this good...

How does it feel to have an image this good...
Well, IF it is that good

Geez SimJoy and I thought your MP44 assault rifle kicked arse! your finished gunship is something to be proud off. looks great with the dust and explosions. And if you find a decent way to do laser blasts without having to hand draw them in photoshop, can you please share the secret to how you do it?

07-04-2007, 10:44 PM
Thanks mate ..

Well this IS my attempt at lasers beams in Photoshop. opinions welcome better/worse ...

If anyone knows a better way of doing please let me know, but with only a few days left i've not much time ..

07-04-2007, 11:38 PM
Looks good, but the side pod cannon things shoot like the deathstar in the movie with several beams coming from the primiter of the dish thing and concentrating into one beam.

07-05-2007, 01:36 PM
Yeah wanders your right so ...

07-05-2007, 03:09 PM
Is looking real tasty mate...

07-05-2007, 05:23 PM
I think the middle of the laser gradient needs to be much more white, right now they look dull and drab, but if you make the inner line lighter, they'll feel bright and hot.

07-07-2007, 05:16 PM
Thanks guys ..
I've adjusted a few laser beams, and i'm officially calling it finished now ..

I'll post in the finals thread this evening ..

Thanks to everyone thats commented. you've all helped me complete what is probably my best work to date ..

07-07-2007, 09:12 PM
very very nice sim its lookin awesome :applause: one tiny thing... maybe add a little blur on the edge of the masks for your main ship... its standing out against the background a biit sharp for the amount of dust and such that's flying around... just a suggestion =)

07-08-2007, 11:13 PM
Sim, don't think you've escaped my desktop imagery. I'll be expecting one...

07-08-2007, 11:21 PM
Well, you can have it in any size you want John, as long as its 1680 x 1050 ..:applause:
