sweet jesus!

incredible work!

it looks great, legolas' face seems alittle weird to me, but that could just be me.
I like this piece, you can really sense the tension. Great work.

Replace Aragorn's unknown "Ranger's Sword" with Anduril, The Flame of the West (reforged from Narsil, which hangs on my wall).

Then it is accurate with the Books ;)

Nice work! I'd crop it so that Aragorn isn't so close to the center of the image. I'd also put in a bit more work on his left hand. It's a bit weak right now. It might be worth re-working the position of the sword so that he's holding it in both hands. The relaxed left hand tends to pull tension and strength out of his attitude.

great job with the painting

Damn maybe I should pay a visit to the 2d forums this is really nice. I hope to one day do a scene from LOTR - The Fellowship. I would luv to do the part when Gandalf's is dragged down into the depths of moria and the look on poor Frodo's face as a tear trickles down his face while outside.

Just scenes like that, that show such emotion is what I would luv to do. But enough about me wow really great painting. I'm a fan of LOTR now I guess I'm a fan of your work:)

nice lighting and stuff!

Beautiful painting, really well-rendered and dramatic! The 3 main characters are especially well done. The only issue I have with it is with the soldiers. They all look exactly alike. I think a little more variation in their faces and armor would make them more interesting and realistic. The other thing is that they seem to be standing around in random poses not doing anything in particular. If they were looking down below at the oncoming Uruk'hai army, or readying arrows, or scrambling to the battlemounts, or something like that it would make the painting more dynamic and exciting. Once again, you did an excellent job, I just wanted to lend some helpful advice.

Looks good man! Love LOTR!! :buttrock:

Abosultely stunning! It's just wonderfully done, the only things I would crit is the emphasis on the main characters, everything is too evenly lit, but that's minor. One other thing is Aragorn, he needs a more rugged face structure, and more elongated than what you have here. But all in all

Great artwork, but the orcs are near! Neah.. i'll always love Lord Of The Rings. But...I can't help it! The sword is not Narsil-Anduril, but Aragorn's common sword. Nice blue, it reminds me of the movie.
