My first challenge!

i like the pov! must be fun to add buildings there. with a little paint it would be a great plate for a nice pan/dolly in combination with a cam-projected object textures.

Its bad enough the little bastages gotta come invade "OUR" planet, but do they have to pollute the air too.....

Good concept dude, I agree, whack the sky and make it moving... and add some animation in the water, I think you could shoot two birds with one stone there.... give a good reflection, and in the same shot add reflections from the buildings....

Been busy lately trying to find a job. Here's a little update.

Found an hour to get some quick modelling done. The domes on the left will have plants of all sorts in them. The items you see still need a lot of modelling work before they are complete. The thing done on the river will have steam coming out of the wide spout on top. The hole on the left side will have a conveyer belt type of machine which will spit rocks and debris from inside.

A small update today. I added the large cave where the ships will go in. The cave was made in 3d, then added to the scene in Photoshop. The lighting inside the cave will be much more dynamic than it now, most likely blinking up and down the beam it's on.
